Through a top-down approach, the Plan encourages enterprises to utilize characteristics of 5G and framework of 5G open network to facilitate innovative solutions in the fields of smart show, smart transportation, smart manufacturing, smart healthcare etc., and verify their feasibility in domestic trial sites to boost business strengths, technique autonomy of Taiwan’s industries and contribute to replicable models for 5G innovative solutions.

This project adopted a bottom-up approach to motivate Taiwanese enterprises to develop smart city solutions on local test bed with local governments. It aims at establishing iconic smart applications capable of entering global markets and thus creating economic values.
