The Startup Challenge, initiated by the Small and Medium Enterprise and Startup Administration (SMESA), has officially entered its fourth year. The 2025 call for applications is now open, and startup teams from Taiwan and around the world are warmly invited to participate!

Organized by Startup Terrace, the competition is based on real-world corporate needs. It connects startups with enterprises to co-develop innovative solutions and accelerate market implementation.

This year, leading domestic and international enterprises and global cities have come together to present a variety of challenge topics. With over NT$30 million in total prize funding and validation resources, the program offers robust support and high visibility for participating startups.
 

The 2025 competition includes three major tracks:

Greentech Track: Focused on net-zero and energy-saving challenges
City Track: Connecting with innovation needs from Asian cities
Healthtech Track (New): Driving cross-sector collaboration between health and technology industries
